I see that others are making the same point as I wish to and the Letts reply is straight out of the BBC handbook of how not to properly address the criticism. If I wanted an Appointments Diary I would have bought one. It is no good saying it was brought in line - we want to know why the change has been made.

Great diary but why couldn't we stick to the old 11X format?
I have been using the A5 day-to-page diary for countless years. I live by this diary. My team jokes that the way to ruin my year would be to hide this book!
This year you've changed it to an appointment diary.

Page-a-day IIX diary
Have had this diary (IIX) for years: I use it as a journal. In the last couple of years it appears to have migrated to an appointments diary with times along the left hand margin, and QR codes on every page - not what I want. I'll be looking for another supplier next year, I think.
