Loss of 2-Colour printing this year reduces the diary's ease of use.

To start with, I have always loved the Lecassa A6+ Day to Page Diary. It has been my go-to diary for 5+ years and it's one of my consistent annual purchases. It is a fantastic size (not too big, not too small); the soft leather-like cover is flexible and beautifully comfortable to hold; and the quality paper stock makes it great to flick through and write on (whether with ballpoint, pencil, or ink). It is a great diary.
But, this year, rather than rating it 5-star I can only rate it 2-star as they've made a number of formatting changes that make it just "blah" for me now. Maybe it's because I've been using it for so many years and gotten so used to it -- so hey, if you're new to the Lecassa range you might really enjoy it.
The biggest difference is that they've switched from two-colour printing (black and red) to one-colour/black only. The addition of the red helped to differentiate the pages, making them stand out; and the weekends were printed in red which meant you could easily flick through the diary and see at a glance when you'd hit a weekend -- this was incredibly convenient and intuitive. Now I have to really focus and it takes me longer to figure out what day I'm looking at or where in the week I am.
A second change is that at the bottom of the pages they've now replaced the mini year-long calendar/planner with a Notes section and only the month itself it displayed. Now, I can understand the inclusion of a notes section, so this might be a handy change. But I am often booking appointments/working-out appointments based on weeks and over multiple months -- so it would be hugely helpful if at the very least the bottom of the page showed this month and next month too. Or if they kept the year-long mini calendar on the pages at the start of each month. Having just the one month shown doesn't let me properly plan-at-a-glance.
Lastly, they've incorporated the QR Code for the Letts of London reminder app on each and every page. This isn't a feature I can see myself using. You may really like it, fair enough; but from my point-of-view, the trade off is they've had to re-format the previously easy-to-read page/day/date headers making the font smaller, more cluttered, and more difficult to read.
I've been an advocate and fan of the Lecassa A6+ for years. I would have happily paid a bit more to keep the 2-colour printing and older features, and now I'll have to decide whether I will continue with this diary into the future.
[I'll attach photos of last year's diary and this year's so that you can see some of the page differences.]
